What is a digital hall of fame?
A digital hall of fame is an interactive touchscreen display, usually wall-mounted or on a floor kiosk, that replaces or extends physical plaques. Visitors tap to browse inductees, search by name or year, and open full profiles with photos, video, stats and biographies. Because it is software, there is no limit on how many people you can honor.
How is a digital hall of fame different from a TV slideshow?
A slideshow shows one thing at a time to whoever happens to be walking past. A digital hall of fame is interactive: visitors search for a name, filter by sport or decade and open a full profile. It also publishes the same content to the web, so alumni can find it from anywhere.
Can we use a touchscreen we already own?
Yes. TouchHall runs in a locked-down kiosk browser on any commercial touchscreen with a Windows, Android or ChromeOS player. We will check your model before you sign anything.
Who updates the content, and how hard is it?
Anyone you invite. Athletic directors, alumni staff and student volunteers add inductees from a web dashboard with a form that feels like filling in a spreadsheet row. Changes publish to the screen in under a minute, and you can bulk-import from CSV or Excel.
Is it accessible and ADA compliant?
The touchscreen interface is designed to WCAG 2.2 AA: a reach-zone mode that pulls controls into the lower part of the screen for wheelchair users, high-contrast text, screen-reader friendly markup and captions on video. The same hall of fame is published as a public web page so anyone can browse it from home.
How long does it take to go live?
Schools with existing records typically launch in three to six weeks. We handle the data migration from spreadsheets, yearbooks or plaque photos, so most of that time is your committee reviewing profiles.
